SYNGENERA development process ensures community input and access to benefits.
SYNGENERA actively works with local community and partners to promote SDG-aligned social and environmental innovations – allowing indigenous and local communities to access markets for sustainable products.
SYNGENERA actively promotes partnerships– local communities, NGOs, local and national governments, DFIs, institutional investors and multi-national corporates– all in the name of sustainable and low-carbon solutions.
REDD+ Carbon Offsets
SYNGENERA is focused on REDD+ carbon credits that aim to conserve primary forests.
SYNGENERA is seeking mangrove conservation and restoration projects.
SYNC®
SYNC® is the engine that differentiates SYNGENERA– our in-development software solution that reports natural, social and financial returns on investment in alignment with the SDGs.
SYNC® helps project developers maximize these returns, and helps investors accurately track their impacts.
Syngenera ESG Policy
True Sustainability
Syngenera’s ESG policy prohibits the development of primary forest unless selective thinning enables the creation of incremental carbon sink, which sequesters more greenhouse gases than the baseline scenario, and such incremental benefits are transferred to the local community.
Syngenera works with local NGO partners to design a specific Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) policy and management system for each concession, incorporating the International Finance Corporation’s Equator Principles. Syngenera’s sustainable agroforestry plantations will only be developed in logged or highly degraded forest areas, with high-yielding biomass and high carbon fixation species.
Biodiversity
Syngenera harvests selected local Non-Wood Forest Biotrade (NFWB) products, such as plants for aromatic oils, in the concessions for the socio-economic benefits of the local community.
Syngenera allows the biodiversity in the concessions to evolve and flourish through the establishment of biodiversity corridors and hot-spots.
Syngenera will not introduce invasive species to any of the concessions that we manage, nor do we promote the use of GMO crops. Syngenera has a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption.
